How We’re Protecting Your Family
As details of the coronavirus (COVID-19) unfold, we would like to communicate that the safety of our clients & staff has always been and continues to be our number one priority. It is our goal to be part of the solution during this difficult time.
From the onset of the coronavirus, we have been monitoring the situation closely, communicating with industry leaders (*ARCSI) and reviewing industry best practices (**ISSA). We would like to share with our clients what we at Three Little Birds are doing in response.
Prior to the concerns regarding COVID-19, Three Little Birds’ cleaning methods were created to prevent cross-contamination & sanitize surfaces safely and effectively. Some of these include …
1- High Quality, Professional Grade Microfibre Cloths: Our teams are supplied with a fresh set of microfibre cloths for each home. They are colour coded so separate cloths are used for bathrooms and the rest of the home.
2- Toilet Brushes: We do NOT carry a toilet brush from home to home (a common cleaning business practice). We carry multiple toilet brushes to ensure a brand new one is always available if one is not already provided.
3- High Touch Areas: Every Three Little Birds cleaning service includes sanitizing high touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, drawer pulls & cabinet knobs.
4- Washable HEPA Filters: Our vacuums use washable HEPA filters and we have many filters available so they are cleaned regularly.
5- Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restorations Certification: As the owners/operators of Three Little Birds, both Darryl & Sherry Weavers are registrants in good standing with the IICRC, and have qualified by service & examination for House Cleaning Technician certification***
In this time of high vigilance, we have implemented & upgraded some additional items …
1- Staff Communications: We are reminding teams to be hyper vigilant on cleaning all the high touch areas, identifying concerns, and best practices for avoiding risk both on & off the job.
2- Hand-Washing Protocol: We have implemented a mandatory hand wash protocol. All team members must wash their hands upon entry and upon exit of every home with soap & water for 20 seconds minimum, and we will not be using our clients’ towels.
3- Preventing Cross Contamination: Staff are wearing face coverings, disposable shoe covers, and disposable gloves while in client homes.
4- Disinfection Use: Staff are trained to apply disinfectant to their supplies between each home we service
5- Extra Time Allotted: Teams have been given extra time for each scheduled service, as we want them take their time and not rush where safety is everyone’s top priority.
6- Social Distancing: Our teams are trained and reminded to enforce social distancing while on and off the job. In order to accommodate this while on the road, clear dividers have been installed in our company vehicles.
7- Healthy Cleaning Tech’s: Any team member showing symptoms of the flu or COVID-19 will not be permitted to work. Our staff is aware there will be no repercussions for taking time off while showing symptoms. We also offer opportunities for our staff to earn paid days off, and we hope this will be helpful to them during this time.
We ask for clients’ patients & understanding in the event we are running short staffed or need to reschedule services, as this will be something difficult to schedule for.
8- Last Minute Cancellation’s: We have eliminated our last minute cancellation fee for services cancelled within 1 business days notice. We ask that ANY client who has (or recently had) a sick individual in the home or has recently travelled to a high risk country to please call or office to postpone your service for 14 days. This is critical in helping limit the spread of any virus.
9- New Products: You will find we have upgraded our cleaning products at this time. While our original products were proven effective in killing 99.99% of bacteria & viruses in your home, we believe the new products will deliver an even higher level of sanitization, while still maintaining our 100% commitment to being all-natural -keeping your home’s indoor air safe from dangerous pollutants.
We recognize the important role we fill in keeping your home clean & healthy. We are grateful that you have chosen Three Little Birds Residential Cleaning. As always, we are committed to keeping both our clients and our staff healthy & safe.
